Financial Planner

We are a well-established professional Financial Services & Accounting firm in the South Burnett.

We seek a highly motivated, qualified Financial Planner.  Our business is growing and requires the addition of another Financial Planner who can build relationships with new and existing clientele.  As a result we need a well presented individual to work closely with our Senior Financial Planner. 

Our preference is for the successful applicant to be based at our Nanango office but we are open to other flexible working arrangements.

The successful applicant must be well spoken, confident, have strong technical skills and an ability to liaise with all clients. 

Your duties will include:

  • being a point of contact for clients and attend client meetings (when possible);
  • implementation of a clients’ financial planning strategies,
  • review client information and research best strategies to suit a clients’ needs,
  • implement personal insurance advice and policies,
  • preparation of written reports and presentation packs, and
  • uphold high standards of compliance.

You will be supported by on the job training and development, a highly experienced Financial Services division, the Sentry Financial Services dealer group, and modern facilities.  Qualifications are essential.

    About the South Burnett Region

    The stunning South Burnett region is located about two hours drive north-west of Brisbane and immediately west of the Sunshine Coast. It stretches 120km from Blackbutt in the south to Kilkivan in the north, and 70km west to Lake Boondooma.

    Due to our continued growth and success, we are also seeking to appoint a professional, well presented, client focussed employee to our Nanango office.

    As the Trainee, you will have a positive outlook, possess a high energy level and be willing to learn.  You will be able to multi task and take pride in your work.  A strong team based player with excellent communication skills are key to this role.  You will be reliable, enthusiastic and professionally presented.  You will need to be eligible to complete a Cert III in Business for this position and are guaranteed employment for the duration of your traineeship.

    Your duties will include:

    • Electronic filing
    • Answering phones
    • Booking appointments
    • Assisting senior staff
    • Data entry
    • General admin duties
    • Other tasks as directed

    To add true value to our business, you will have excellent attention to detail, be results driven, work autonomously and be able to take direction.  To be successful in this role you will have excellent written and verbal communications skills and have a strong work ethic. Training for this position will be provided onsite in conjunction with your traineeship certification studies.
