If you’re a farmer, farm worker, farm supplier or farm contractor who is struggling financially because of the drought, you may be entitled to receive another one-off payment of up to $3,000 in Round 2 of the Australian Government’s Drought Community Support Initiative.
Examples of what payments can be for include groceries, vehicle maintenance, energy & utility bills, and health & medical expenses.
Only one application is permitted per household. You are eligbible to apply for this second round as long as your household has not received Drought Community Support Initiative assistance since 19 November 2019. If you are unsure, please call the Drought Community Support team on 1300 551 030.
